$85.75The Story
In the 1960s, the U.S. military procurement headquarters in Japan chose to procure camouflage uniforms in Japan. This was because Japan possessed advanced printing technology, high-speed production capabilities, and offered cost advantages. The design was left to the discretion of factories throughout Japan, which led to the creation of countless variations of the tiger stripe pattern. Many of the early tiger stripe uniforms were made in Japan, but some were sewn in Okinawa using Japanese-made fabric, and later in the Vietnam War, they were also manufactured in Thailand and the surrounding areas of Vietnam.
