This patchwork fabric combines several patterns of Madras check, a traditional design from the Madras region of southeastern India (now Chennai). The fabric undergoes a slow sun-drying process, resulting in a textured, three-dimensional finish. It features the lightness and breathability characteristic of Indian cotton. It is woven on a semi-automatic loom called a power loom.
